The Pavilion - With Shane Baxendale

About the artist: 

Meet Shane Baxendale, a seasoned performer with a passion for rock 'n' roll that spans over a decade!  Shane's musical journey began 12 years ago when he discovered his love for singing, eventually leading him to form the dynamic band "Shane and the Korrados" a decade ago.

Shane's talents have taken him across the globe, including unforgettable performances in the USA, where he graced the stage in Memphis alongside Jerry Lee Lewis's band. Not stopping there, he also fronted Jimmy Van Eaton's band, a legendary drummer from Sun Studios.

Inspired by the King of Rock 'n' Roll himself, Elvis Presley, Shane's solo rock 'n' roll show is a vibrant tribute to the legends of the genre. From Elvis to Jerry Lee Lewis, from the Stray Cats to the Mavericks and Carl Perkins, Shane's repertoire covers a wide range of iconic artists, guaranteeing an electrifying performance every time! 

About The Venue:

Nestled along the scenic Severn estuary, Penarth Pier boasts the stunning 1929 art deco-styled Pavilion building, a true gem of the area. The venue boasts a glorious wooden floor for dancers, and the bar will be open for refreshments. When it's time to refuel, head to the Big Fresh Café at the back of the Pavilion for delicious locally sourced fare. And don't forget to treat yourself to classic seaside delights like chips and ice cream, perfect for enjoying with breathtaking views of the Bristol Channel.

The Event:

The event will begin with music provided by Mama D, then two amazing sets from Shane, the first being Elvis inspired, the second other rock n roll artists. Numbers are limited to ensure maximum 'Up Close & Personal' time with Shane and space for dancing. Unlike other events, there will not be tea/coffee/cakes provided, but the bar and cafe will be open so that you can purchase your own snacks and refreshments.
